Hello! I'm Andrea, and I've noticed that women like me don't have much representation in the media. But we are smart, and we have the perspective, life experience, and education that make our opinions valuable. We have a lot to say! Join us as we kibbitz about these important topics.
My Story
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, a true Midwesterner. I received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and Master's and Ph.D. in English Rhetoric from Miami of Ohio, where I focused on Jewish women's rhetoric, particularly the rhetoric of Jewish American Women in the later 20th century to the present. After teaching at the University level for ten years, I chose to leave the academy to start a family and help with my husband's financial service business. I also teach Sunday school and am an active board member of my synagogue.
When I'm not over-mothering my exceptional daughter, dogs, and husband, or working in the family business, I'm carving out time to write. My essays have been published most recently in Kveller.com and Cincy Jewfolk.

My favorite meal is soft-boiled eggs with gluten-free toast and tea.
